The Queen of Bossa Nova

Lisa Ono began singing and playing the guitar at age 15, debuting as a professional Bossa Nova singer in 1989. Her natural voice, rhythmic guitar playing and her charming smile led her to huge success and popularised Bossa Nova in Asia.

Lisa Ono has performed with many acclaimed musicians such as the legendary Antonio Carlos Jobim and the Jazz Samba giant Joao Donato. Lisa has been performing enthusiastically in New York, Brazil and across Asia.

Lisa Ono's album Dream (1999), sold more than two hundred thousand copies in Japan, and since then she has established a more determined position in the Japanese Bossa Nova community. Her top hits include Fly me to the Moon, Weiny Weiny, La Vie En Rose, Samba de Verão and more.
