Wu-Tang Clan’s in the House
We got up close and personal with the legendary hip hop group on their recent trip down under
RZA x Briggs: When Staten Island Hip-Hop meets Aussie Hip-Hop
Celebrating 25 years since the release of their ground-breaking debut album, the legendary Wu-Tang Clan took over the Opera House this December, bringing their opus 36 Chambers “from the slums of Shaolin” to the Concert Hall for four nights of pure mayhem. All nine members brought the ruckus down under and we were lucky enough to catch some unforgettable moments.
Before Wu-Tang took over the Concert Hall, we invited Australian rapper Briggs to chat with one of his biggest music influences, the groundbreaking hip-hop craftsman RZA.
Having never met before, the two spoke about numerous topics including RZA’s first exposure to hip-hop, ODB and his talent, Inspectah Deck as the unsung MC, Wu-Tang Clan’s influence on Briggs and his music and why Wu-Tang Clan had to play the Sydney Opera House.
