Joan Sutherland Theatre
Joan Sutherland Theatre, the Opera House’s second-largest internal venue, is ideal for housing opera, ballet, contemporary dance, music and spoken-word performances.
Studio
Studio is an ideal space for contemporary music, film screenings, cocktail parties, cabaret and circus acts or spoken-word and corporate presentations. The flexible seating layout allows for standing crowds, cabaret-style or tiered seating.
Drama Theatre
The medium-sized Drama Theatre is suitable for performances ranging from experimental productions to traditional drama, dance and spoken-word. With a computerised flying system, it offers superb views from every seat.
Playhouse
Storytelling in all forms—dance, theatre, music or spoken-word—comes alive in the intimate surrounds of the Playhouse. An excellent setting for dramatic performances, film screenings, presentations and conferences.
Utzon Room
Elegance, intimacy and impeccable acoustics combine in this small but impressive space. Named in honour of architect Jørn Utzon, this is the only internal venue wholly designed by the Danish master.
