Yarning Country: First Nations country, community and culture

The Sydney Opera House today announced an evening of storytelling and song by First Nations artists from around Australia exploring this year’s NAIDOC week theme, Heal Country!. Curated by Warlpiri woman and former co-host of NITV The Point Rachael Hocking, Yarning Country will be a healing night of country, community and culture in the Studio on Thursday 24 June in the lead-up to NAIDOC Week (4-11 July 2021).

The Sydney Opera House has collaborated with pioneering hip hop artist Ziggy Ramo Burrmuruk Fatnowna on a music video featuring the artist on top of the Opera House’s sails to accompany his latest release, “Little Things” featuring Paul Kelly, as well as a behind-the-scenes documentary, ‘Making Little Things’. The music video and documentary are both available to watch now on Stream, the Opera House’s recently launched streaming platform that showcases world-class performing and digital arts.

Timeless French tale The Little Prince comes to life on the Opera House stage

A breathtaking adaptation of the classic French novella The Little Prince (Le Petit Prince) will be presented in the Opera House’s Joan Sutherland Theatre from 26 May – 6 June in an Australian exclusive premiere. The Little Prince is a stunning spectacular of circus, dance, aerial acrobatics and ground-breaking video mapping technology. It comes to the Opera House after sell-out seasons at Folies Bergère Paris in 2019 and Dubai Opera last year.
