Showstoppers
One of the highlights of 2023 was Sydney Philharmonia Choirs’ Golden Age of Broadway concert with their Symphony Chorus – an irresistible evening of toe-tapping tunes and sheer entertainment that sent everyone home with smiles to ‘make the world worthwhile’. And they’re back in 2024 with a celebration of Rodgers and Hammerstein showstoppers.
We’ve got this beautiful feelin’ that Brett Weymark is planning something wonderful with rousing choruses and fabulous musical moments from R&H musicals that have stood the test of time to become classics – plus some rare treats from the ‘backstage comedy’ Me and Juliet and the 1945 film State Fair. And we know he’ll be spoilt for choice with all the memorable melodies, witty lyrics and touching themes that emerged from this legendary musical theatre partnership.
You’ll be singing along and cheering for encores.

Please note: this event is not held at the Sydney Opera House.
Sydney Town Hall is located at 483 George Street, Sydney 2000.
Enter Sydney Town Hall via the main George Street doors. Once inside, follow the signs or ask one of our Front of House team to assist you. The Box Office at Sydney Town Hall will be open one hour prior to each performance to help you with any questions or issues.
There will be no cloakroom so we encourage you to leave bigger items at home. There will be no bar, however complimentary water will be available from the Front of House team.
Getting to Sydney Town Hall
Wilson Parking has a number of parking stations close to Sydney Town Hall. We recommend St Andrew’s House Car Park, Queen Victoria Building Car Park and Citipark Car Park.
Most Sydney trains stop at Sydney Town Hall, and most CBD busses stop nearby.
