An iconic Sydney queer collective returns with a Berlin legend

The music is impeccable. The vibes are inclusive. The parties are legendary. Back by ever-popular demand, Sydney’s favourite queer collective House of Mince throw open their arms and light up the dancefloor with an all-new Studio Party for Vivid LIVE. And what better way to honour their Berlin inspiration than with a guest performance by Berghain’s very own resident icon Boris with the Mince Angels on deck and ready to groove.

Boris
A resident DJ at Berlin’s legendary Berghain club since the very first incarnation of the Panorama Bar, Boris Dolinski is renowned for his blistering techno sets and the playful sense of euphoria he brings to queer dancefloors. Born in Neukölln, he moved to New York in the ’80s and absorbed the energy and craft of David Mancuso’s Loft parties and Larry Levan at the Paradise Garage, before returning to Berlin at the turn of the ’90s, just as the city’s techno scene was exploding. This is his first residence with House of Mince since 2017.

House of Mince
For well over a decade, Sydney’s queer dance music collective House of Mince has thrown parties quite unlike anything the Harbour City has ever seen. From Marrickville warehouses to sweaty inner-city nightclubs, from the vertiginous heights of Sydney Tower to the iconic sails of the Sydney Opera House, the legendary party starters have brought their exquisite taste, and sense of communal elation to venues across the city.
