Useful information:
An unforgettable day out at the Sydney Opera House
Designed by Sydney Opera House artists, this unique program experience promises to ignite imaginations, nurture curiosity, and create lasting memories for students from both primary and secondary schools.
Teachers can co-create an unforgettable day out at the Sydney Opera House by choosing both a morning and early afternoon activity, working within a school’s schedule.
Students can experience:
Performances
Up to 9 different performances per year, suited to a variety of stage and year levels, with links across different curriculum areas. Each performance has a 15 minute question and answer session with the artists on stage.
Workshops
Inspired by either our performances or STEAM perspectives, students participate in active workshops that use the Sydney Opera House building and site, and our local and international performances as a catalyst for learning and reflection.
Tours
On this guided walking tour, students hear about the Sydney Opera House’s history, design and engineering feats, and the stories behind this UNESCO world heritage site. This is an exceptional chance for students to witness firsthand how innovation and vision can shape the world around them.
