Thaiboy Digital, Oli XL

Celebrate the seventh anniversary of tastemaking Sydney collective WavyLand with the second of two nights of weird and wild beats from around the world, with performances from Thaiboy Digital and Oli XL.

A collective of pioneering Sydney promoters and tastemakers, WavyLand have had their finger on the pulse of the city’s emerging youth music culture since they began running parties in inner city pubs back in 2018. They’ve since grown to become a lightning rod for some of the coolest acts from around the world, hosting Australian tours by such names as Bladee, Ecco2k, Thaiboy Digital, Eartheater, Boy Harsher, King Woman, VARG²™, Machine Girl, Show Me The Body, and Underscores.

To celebrate the company’s seventh anniversary WavyLand are hosting two eclectic nights at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE. Joining them for the second night are Thai-Swedish rapper Thaiboy Digital and Swedish DJ and producer Oli XL.

Thaiboy Digital
Thai-born, Swedish-raised rapper, singer and producer Thanapat Bunleang became involved with Stockholm’s underground music scene at an early age, collaborating with Yung Lean and joining what would eventually become Drain Gang alongside Bladee and Ecco2K. As Thaiboy Digitial, he is beloved for his smooth bars and irresistible ad-libs, pitched somewhere between Ecco2K’s croon and Bladee’s swagger.

Oli XL
Since releasing his first record at the age of 19, producer, DJ, label head and visual artist Oli XL has emerged as one of Stockholm’s most intriguing new figures, working with the likes of Ecco2K, Swan Meat, Varg and Posh Isolation. Described as a cross between Source Direct and Basement Jaxx, his 2018 EP Stress Junkie crystalised the Oli XL sound: unconventional yet funky rhythms and a pop sensibility, fusing hardcore with dancefloor euphoria.
